With over 25 years of experience in risk management and insurance, Joe focuses on delivering comprehensive solutions in risk management, insurance program design, and oversight, including the strategic use of captive structures. His background includes leadership roles in globally recognized organizations, with expertise in claims management, enterprise risk management, and captive implementation. Joe is committed to helping organizations strengthen resilience through innovative risk strategies.

Tom Kewell

Managing Director, Head of Risk Consulting

Tom is a seasoned insurance and risk management professional with over 22 years of experience across underwriting, risk engineering, and advisory roles. His career spans leading insurers in Canada and the UK, as well as senior positions with construction-focused brokerages. Tom also served as in-house Risk and SDI Manager at Bird Construction, bringing a well-rounded perspective to client risk strategies. His previous employers include Marsh and Northbridge, where he developed deep expertise in supporting complex construction and infrastructure portfolios. Tom is a Certified Building Engineering Technician and member of the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists, a Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) and holds the Canadian Risk Management (CRM) designation.
