Frankie Porco

Executive Director, Developer Solutions Team Lead, Construction & Development

Frankie is a trusted expert in developer-focused surety and construction insurance, with almost a decade of experience supporting everything from early-stage developments to some of the largest and most complex projects in Canada. Before joining Platform in 2023, he led an underwriting team at Trisura, one of the country’s top developer-focused insurers. Frankie has experience in Tarion bonding, deposit insurance, CMHC performance bonding, and subdivision bonding. With a background spanning both underwriting and brokerage, he brings a well-rounded perspective on risk, security structuring, and deal execution, consistently supporting improved outcomes for developers throughout their growth journey.

Brendan Farrow

Executive Director, Developer Solutions, Construction & Development

Brendan is Executive Director within the Construction & Developement group at Platform, where he plays a pivotal leadership role within the Developer Solutions department. He specializes in crafting tailored risk solutions for real estate developers and operators across Canada. Since joining Platform in 2020, Brendan has advanced through critical roles across the Developer Surety and Real Estate verticals, building deep expertise in a wide range of insurance and bonding products. His technical proficiency spans Deposit Protection Insurance, Tarion Bonding, Excess Condominium Deposit Insurance, CMHC Performance and Labour and Material Bonding, and Development Bonding, while also being highly experienced in project insurance. Brendan has successfully managed a diverse national portfolio that includes some of Canada’s most prominent developers, contributing to projects valued in the hundreds of millions. Known for his strategic mindset, collaborative approach, and strong communication skills, he is a trusted advisor with a proven track record of navigating complex bonding and insurance requirements in the construction and real estate sectors.

Her expertise spans contract, commercial, and developer surety, underpinned by a strong technical foundation in underwriting. With a strategic and client-focused approach, Stephanie designs bond programs with optimal terms and fosters enduring relationships across a wide range of sectors. Her deep industry knowledge and commitment to delivering tailored solutions make her a trusted advisor in the surety space.

Alan Sung

Executive Director, Developer Solutions, Construction & Development

Alan brings a wealth of expertise in real estate, finance, and insurance to Platform. A graduate of the University of Toronto’s School of Architecture, he began his career in architecture before transitioning to the financial sector as part of the Microlending team at Canada’s largest credit union. There, he was instrumental in funding several of Canada’s most celebrated retail and food brands. His move to the commercial lending team, where he underwrote development loans, rekindled his passion for real estate and development. In the insurance industry, Alan held senior underwriting and management positions with two of the world’s largest insurers. This experience allowed him to seamlessly combine his architectural background with financial expertise, enabling him to navigate the complexities of development projects and deliver tailored solutions for developers and general contractors. Today, Alan serves as an Executive Director for Platform’s Developer Surety team while also leading operations at the Vancouver office, continuing to drive innovation and support for development projects across Canada.

Diana Ho

Executive Director, Developer Solutions, Construction & Development

Diana is a seasoned insurance and risk management professional with nine years of experience in the industry, specializing in surety and construction. Her background includes seven years in enterprise risk management at BMO Financial Group, where she advanced to the role of Assistant Manager, as well as 1.5 years focused on business development and client management. She also brings a strong foundational year of experience in accounting, supporting her analytical and financial expertise. She has worked extensively with large and complex accounts, including leading national developers and construction firms such as Mattamy Homes, Pinnacle International, Broccolini, and Cortel. This experience has enabled Diana to develop a deep understanding of the risk, bonding, and strategic challenges faced by sophisticated organizations. In senior leadership roles, Diana has demonstrated a strong ability to bridge technical expertise with commercial strategy. Her leadership approach is anchored in collaboration, market insight, and delivering value-driven solutions to clients and partners.

Ryan Khoury

Executive Director, Construction & Development

With nearly a decade of dedicated experience in the insurance and risk management industry, Ryan specializes in both contract and commercial surety solutions. His expertise encompasses a wide range of requirements, from standard local bonding for the construction sector to complex and specialized commercial obligations. He has extensive experience structuring bank-fronted surety solutions (Performance LCs) for obliges requiring letter-of-credit style guarantees, helping clients replace restrictive bank instruments and free up vital working capital. Ryan has managed diverse portfolios with facility exposures ranging from small-scale accounts to major multi-billion-dollar infrastructure projects. Ryan prides himself on a consultative approach, providing dedicated advisory and strategic support to all clients regardless of the size of their requirements. By combining deep technical expertise in financial analysis with a commitment to client growth, he focuses on navigating the surety market to secure maximum capacity and tailored terms, ensuring every partner is positioned to succeed in an evolving marketplace.

Hamish Dugan

Director, Construction & Development

Hamish is a Director at Platform within the Construction & Development group, specializing in structuring bond facilities that support clients’ growth without consuming credit capacity. He works with developers, general contractors and trade contractors across Western Canada, with expertise covering contract, commercial and developer surety, underpinned by a technical foundation in contract surety underwriting at a national surety market. Hamish takes a consultative approach to designing bond programs and building long-term relationships with clients across a range of sectors.

Natalia Terreri

Senior Account Associate, Developer Solutions, Construction & Development

Natalia Terreri specializes in surety and construction administration, supporting developers and underwriters through the placement, renewal and ongoing management of bonding programs. Natalia’s role involves coordinating submissions, facilitating bond issuance and releases, supporting accounts receivable operations, and ensuring clients receive responsive and effective service throughout the bonding process.

Natalia brings in both construction administration and surety experience to her role. Prior to joining the insurance industry, she worked at Tridel, where she supported residential development projects and gained firsthand insight into the construction and development process. This experience allows her to better understand the needs, priorities and challenges developers face throughout the various stages of a project.

Mara Robles

Account Associate, Construction & Development

Mara brings a strong client service foundation built through more than a decade of experience in the banking industry. Throughout her career, she developed valuable expertise in invoice management, accounts receivable tracking, and client communication, skills that have translated seamlessly into her work within the surety industry. Mara has gained experience across contract, commercial, and developer surety, allowing her to develop a well-rounded understanding of how each area supports clients and their business objectives. She approaches her work with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset and is continually looking for ways to improve internal processes and enhance the client experience, particularly in areas such as account reporting, renewals, and bond issuance. Mara’s strong administrative capabilities, attention to detail, and commitment to continuous learning continue to support her growth within the surety industry.
